The Nintendo Switch is getting a new powerhouse action game, in the form of DC Universe Online.
The best part?
The game is available to play for free! This massively multiplayer online game set in the DC universe allows players the ability to create their own unique character. Once you’ve done that, you can team up and fight against DC heroes and villains like Batman, Wonder Woman, Superman, and The Joker in massive, ever-expanding world that’s continuously growing due to new content updates and quality-of-life improvements.
The DC Universe Online development team has been working tirelessly to ensure Switch players have “the best MMO experience”, with a revamped tutorial, access to the latest event content within a few hours of starting the game, new augment and artifact systems, and updated character models all being present. The Switch version of this game comes with its own new server; this means that, unfortunately, the game isn’t cross-platform compatible (at launch, at least), but a Nintendo Switch Online subscription isn’t required to get stuck in.
Plus, there’s even more coming up! DC Universe Online will receive two new episodes based on DC’s Dark Nights: Metal comic book series in the coming months. Episode 35: Metal – Part I has been scheduled to release in September 2019 and Episode 36: Metal – Part II releases at the end of the year.
It’s hard to say no to free, right? Let us know what you think of the new game!
